Who is Regina Macheque ?

Regina Macheque

Regina is 56 years old . She have got 2 children who are adults now and who moved away from the area . She have got 2 dependants that stay with her . They are both homeless children and Regina gives them a home .  She does not have anything , but her piece of land where she plants maize . She has got 3 cashewnut trees that she planted on the land of a friend . she describes her childhood time as very tough . They only had food , but nothing else . There was no jobs and all her family members only worked for food . 

Sad Story -She have been hit by a car while she was walking next to the foad . Her one leg is still not working properly and she cannot carry anything on her head .  She still do all her job by herself , but it is not easy .  

Dream for the area:  Regina say that if she would receive a lot of money to spend on agriculture for the area , she would use all the money to de-bush and then to improve the availibility of water .  

Her own dream:She would be very happy if she could get help to de-bush some more land where she can plant . She would also be very happy if she can register her piece of land on her name . She has got 4.4 ha of her own land and then also some land in the bush .  

Present income:  She only work for food ..
